Rihanna: Two Grammy events, no Chris

During the past week Rihanna has attended numerous pre-Grammy festivities in Los Angeles all without her boyfriend Chris Brown. Her solo appearances could possibly support the recent rumor there's trouble in the land of young love.

On Wednesday night (February 5), the “Umbrella” star attended the Black Eyed Peas’ Peapod Foundation charity event held at the Nokia Theatre. She was spotted chatting with Will.i.am and Fergie, who recently wed Josh Duhamel.

Then the “Disturbia” star stepped out on Friday night (February 6) to attend the Verizon & BlackBerry Grammy event at Boulevard 3 hosted by producer Timbaland. Before taking the stage, Rihanna mingled among the star studded guests. (On a side note, I really like Boulevard 3. Last year, I caught a performance of Lady Ga Ga and LMFAO there after the AMAs but I digress.)

These solo appearances are adding fuel to the fire that the young couple might be going through a rough patch. Obviously, it’s perfectly fine for both Rihanna and Chris to attend events without one another but since they’ve been inseparable for months, it seems a little odd.

It’s also rumored Chris received flack from the “Good Girl Gone Bad” over recent pictures of Brown surrounded by female fans during the last leg of his European tour, in which Rihanna wasn't on. (Rihanna, what do you expect? He’s 19, attractive and rich. Did I mention he's 19?)
