Another Hollywood relationship bites the dust. Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fiancé actor Ross McCall recently called it quits.

"They broke up over the holidays and have ended their (13 month) engagement," a source close to the couple told PEOPLE.

So did the Ghost Whisperer star lose 18 pounds for her wedding in vain? “No!” I say.

Think back to last summer when the unflattering bikini pictures of Love Hewitt surfaced. She defended her weight gain but by October she had miraculously shed 18 pounds, which she claimed was for her upcoming nuptials and not the now-famous pictures.

"I'm getting ready to turn 30 and get married and all those things," Love Hewitt told People. "This year was my year to try to glow from within and feel better."

Jennifer and McCall, who had been dating for 2 years, were engaged since November 2007.

A friend of Jennifer's said: "Things aren't great between them. It's hard because he's filming in New Mexico and she's in Los Angeles. The relationship is strained and their wedding won't happen anytime soon."
