"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson surprised "Twilight Saga: New Moon" fans with an appearance at Hollywood & Highland on Friday night (November 6).
During the promotional stop, R-Patz chatted with People magazine about romance, on and off screen.
“I can’t think of a single romantic thing that I’ve ever done. I would never serenade someone to be romantic – you have to have so much balls to do that," Pattinson told People. "I put a flower in someone’s locker when I was 15 years old, this girl called Maria. She thought that it was someone else and the other guy claimed it as well, which is great.”
Pattinson believes his character in "New Moon" isn't romantic just for the sake of showing an onscreen love story between Edward and Bella, he stands for much more.
Robert explains, “It’s like saying guys can’t appreciate romance. I’ve watched Titanic and I didn’t think, ‘Oh, this is a girl’s film.’ I felt like the storyline in New Moon is very heartbreaking and true. I didn’t think I was doing something just for the sake of romance.”
"New Moon" hits theaters November 20.
