Is WJFK -- the guy talker station at 106.7 on your FM dial -- flipping formats imminently?

For months, we've been telling you that the station (whose programming includes the Junkies in the morning, Big O and Dukes middays, and Mike O'Meara in the afternoon) may be switching to an all sports format sooner rather than later.

WJFK has already started running on-air ads saying that they are "now powered by Fox Sports on the weekends."

In fact, DCRTV.com (a local radio and TV gossip site) is floating the idea that today could be the last live show for Mike O'Meara, a local and syndicated radio vet.

There's no official word yet, of course (there rarely is when a format flip is afoot).  But, the scuttlebutt is buzzing.

Word is that the Junkies, already pretty sports-centric, would survive a format flip.  But, according to DCRTV it is looking pretty bleak for O'Meara and his team.  No one is yet talking about the fate of Big O and Dukes.

For more info: Look at some comedy and get the giggles:  Jon Stewart takes on the Michael Jackson media circus and  "GoRemy" has a locally viral video hit on YouTube with "Arlington: The Rap."  Check out the launch of U2's world tour.
