Jon Stewart's "The Daily Show" attempted a not-so-hostile takeover of the White House Press Briefing room.
Correspondent John Oliver (the British one) was basically welcomed with open arms Wednesday afternoon. He was taping a segment for future use on the nightly Comedy Central series.
Apparently, Oliver hung out for White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs' daily briefing, standing calmly at the back of the room. After the official part of the presser was done, that's when the "DS" hijinks started apparently.
MediaBistro's FishbowlDC reports that Oliver asked seven mock questions. According to Fishbowl's sources, his final question is "How am I doing?"
"The Daily Show" airs Monday thru Thursday on the basic cable channel at 11PM. There's no word of when the episode is scheduled, but we'll keep our eyes open for you and let you know once it's on.
