Vowing action in her battle against food addiction, Oprah Winfrey is putting her money where her mouth is... so to speak.
The Queen of Everything (and potential Georgetown neighbor) launched her show's Best Life Week today (seen locally on Channel 7).
Oprah, who has already talked about her weight gain in her magazine, fessed up on today's show that she has been abusing food and will be changing her lifestyle once again to fight it.
Over the years, Winfrey has yoyo dieted on-camera. In one instance, she memorably pulled a wagon full of chicken fat on stage at her talkshow, illustrating how much weight she had lost.
But, as she announced last month (to no one's surprise), Oprah has gained it all back.
On today's episode, she says she is done making excuses. The openly Obama-supporting talk show host said that 2009 is her year of "hopefulness" playing on the President-elect's campaign motto. Oprah claims she is going to put herself first and make it a priority to once again return to a healthy weight.
The New York Post has a great slideshow taking you through the years of Oprah's dieting and weight gain. Check it out here.
