With a new album out, Beyonce needs lots of back-up

We watched "Saturday Night Live" this week in great anticipation.  The seminal comedy show was in a bit of a sink-or-swim situation.

First, there was the fact that their primary source of comedy -- the election -- was over.  Whatever would they do without Tina Fey as Sarah Palin?

Then, there was the news we reported about two new fresh-faced female cast members.

Sadly, the newbies barely showed up in the episode so we still don't know if they were good hires.  But, "SNL" bounced back with a clever opening sketch about Vice President-Elect Joe Biden.  It was reasonably funny and thank goodness Jason Sudeikis's impression is getting better.

Paul Rudd was a respectable host.  I think he's funny enough.  But he wasn't the star of the episode...  Justin Timberlake was.  Yes, you read correctly.

Mrs. Jay-Z -- Beyonce herself -- was the musical guest this week and Miss Sasha Fierce turned out to be a real Renaissance woman.  She sang, danced and even did a little acting and comedy.  Buried deep in the second half of the show, Beyonce and Rudd did a sketch about her latest radio cut "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)".  Suffice it to say, Justin Timberlake is in a leotard.  Check it out below.

We've scoured the internet with no success in finding the clip for you.

But, JT's star turn on "SNL" is not the only one sharing the spotlight with Beyonce.  Bonnie Hunt invited fan Shane Mercado to do the "Single Ladies" dance on her show.  And what happened became a viral video hit on YouTube.  You must check it out here.

Now which one of these men is the best Beyonce back-up?

By the way, Timberlake also had a funny stint on the "Weekend Update" segment.  Here's the link.
