We warned you. Don't say we didn't warn you.
"Twilight" arrives in theaters this week, and with it a legion of teenaged fans as movie-goers. Entertainment pundits think the movie will launch the phenomenon even further into the stratosphere.
Movie execs are so confident that the vampire romance will do well at the box office this weekend that they're already talking sequel and had the movie's young star iced in for two more. Pretty bold considering they will have to compete with the box office smash "Quantum of Solace" ($70.4M this weekend domestically) and children's flick "Bolt".
By the way, does anyone else love that theme song for the Bond movie? Jack White plus Alicia Keys equal brilliant. But, I digress... Back to the vampires.
To build the excitement as the weekend approaches take part in this fun distraction. The movie folks at Spout.com have set up a Vampire Cagematch. It's a bit like the brackets for the NCAA basketball tournament except it's filled with blood-sucking movie stars.
The challenge, I suppose, is to see if Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson in "Twilight") makes it to the finals. I am pulling for the dark horse Jack Bauer er Keifer Sutherland as David in "Lost Boys" but I think that is just me showing my age.
Watch out: I am digressing again. Check out the awesome Bond collaboration between White and Keys.
