Presidential candidate Barack Obama is moving America's Pastime back a few minutes.
We told you last week how the Democratic nominee is buying up prime-time for a 30-minute campaign commercial on Wednesday, October 29.
Obama's camp has already purchased the 8PM slot at NBC and CBS. Now, they've negotiated a million-dollar ad buy from Fox.
But, Fox couldn't agree on its own. First they had to clear it with Major League Baseball because October 29 is slated for Game Six of the World Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays. The game, which had been scheduled to start at 8:20PM is now backing up the first pitch to 8:35PM for that night. Of course this is a moot point if someone wins in four or five.
That's impressive power, folks. Will you tune in to watch the ad?
In other Obama-in-the-media news, rumors are afoot that the Illinois Senator will appear on Saturday Night Live the weekend before the elections. If you remember, the presidential nominee had been originally slated to make an appearance at the late-night comedy show for their season premier in early September. But, late in the week Obama canceled saying that he was focused on impending hurricanes in the Gulf Coast region. He's never rescheduled and some pundits say that's because he wants to push it as close to the election as possible.
So is he or is he not ready for prime-time?
