Find out more about Jeremy: Jeremy Hanson is Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak’s Communications Director and Press Secretary, a post he has held since 2005. Jeremy is responsible for coordinating Mayor Rybak’s media relations, speech writing, social media, and overall communications strategy. Prior to arriving in Mayor Rybak’s office, Jeremy was a communications consultant at the public relations firm Tunheim Partners where he supported public advocacy campaigns involving media relations, coalition building and grassroots advocacy. Previously, Jeremy spent nearly ten years in the nonprofit issue advocacy world, including advocating for the causes of the Minnesota Smoke-Free Coalition and the Minnesota AIDS Project. Growing up in Ada, MN, Jeremy is a graduate of Macalester College and has lived in Minneapolis since 1998. He currently lives in the Windom Park neighborhood of northeast Minneapolis with his fiancé Sam and dog Chauncey. |
