Douglas Lain is a writer of both fiction and nonfiction. His short stories and essays have appeared in nationally distributed online and print magazines such as LCRW, Pif Magazine and Strange Horizons. He has been an organizer and member of PPRC (Portland Peaceful Response Coalition) and Education Without Borders, and has organized many events and demonstrations against the war in Iraq and the Patriot Act. Douglas is also the editor of the surrealist 'zine Diet Soap (dietsoap.org) and the host of the Diet Soap podcast.
