Omega Speedmaster Solar Impulse HB-SIA Watch

This is a great new watch for Omega, and the best part is that it is not a limited edition, meaning it will be more widely available. Omega most likely realized that the market appeal of this watch was great enouhg to produce it in large numbers. What looks like your standard classic Omega Speedmaster is something a bit different. It is a thoroughly modernized version of the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch, with an added GMT hand functionality. From afar it has a similar look but with some orange colors on the dial, but when you handle the Speedmaster Solar Impulse watch you realize that it comes in a high quality titanium case and bracelet (a first for the Speedmaster line), and that it has a carbon fiber case. Very sporty and modern. Other updates include an automatic mechanical movement (not manually wound) with a column wheel chronograph and 24 hour (GMT) hand. The crystal is also sapphire (not plastic). The result is a watch with the Moon Watch DNA, but is something much more ready for today's demanding watch buyers. What is retained is the legendary legibility of the dial and handsome functional styling. The watch is a bit larger that outgoing Speedmaster watches at 44.25mm wide. This is going to be the Speedmaster watch to own for people wanting classic looks and modern conveience.
