A lot of you have already decided that this is the only watch you'll ever need to own, no matter what. Welcome to the power of Rolex, more namely, the new Rolesor (two-tone) Rolex Submariner for 2009. This is one step closer to the new all steel Rolex Submariner. What started last year in 2008 with the white gold version of this updated Submariner watch. What is different then some of the out going models? For a full discussion read about the 2009 Rolex Submariner watch here, but let me go over a few key points. First, the case has been modified a bit to be a slightly newer look that is more classic looking and fits well on the wrist. The dial is the new "maxi dial" that uses larger hands and indexes along with new bright blue lume (as opposed to green).
The bezel of the Submariner watch is now very hard ceramic (as opposed to aluminum), and the bracelet uses Rolex's amazing glidelock system making for a secure and precise fit (no more "this sort of fits" bracelet). If none of that means anything to you then you have this simply eternal look that has been in style for over 50 years, and isn't going to get stale anytime soon (if ever). This model is two-tone as it has steel and gold together. The dial is available in the pictured black as well as blue. Prices will likely be in the $8,000 - $10,000 range which is totally fair given the fact that Rolex watches hold value exteremly well. Next year for 2010, Rolex will release the all steel version of this newer style Rolex Submariner watch.
