The Cadence Oarsman watch has a few good things going for it including unique functionality, good looks, and a price that is more than reasonable. The clear dial with nicely contrasting black and white colors (with a splash of red) is done in an aviator style with a specially design chronograph seconds hand. The idea is that this seconds hand has multiple functions depending on how you use it. As a rowing themed watch, the subdials acts to allow you to observe and determine the rows per minute (from 20-60) of a rower you are directly watching.

Like all sports, rowing is one of those activities with inherent values such as dedication, teamwork, and persistence. Cadence hopes that you'll be reminded of these values when looking at, and wearing the watch. Even if you never use the rowing specific complication, the watch is easy to enjoy as the unique layout and mix of colors is particularly flattering. The case is wide and in steel, and the watch arrives with a soft black leather strap with contrast stitching. Price is under $170.
