With the 4th pick in the NBA Draft, the Kings select Tyreke Evans, combo guard from, Memphis.

Tyreke Evans brings an agressive athleticism that Sacramento hasn't seen since Bobby Jackson in his prime.

Evans is a tall, long armed player who can post up, take it to the hole, and play solid defense.

Evans is also versatile with the ability to play shooting guard or point guard. Last year at Memphis, Evans plit time at both and ran the high tempo Memphis offense deep into the NCAA Tournament.

The Kings are building a good young core of players with Evans, Martin, Garcia, Hawes, and Thompson. They can become a playoff team in the next year or two if they develop as expected.
