Fairdale's Josh Stroud is one of the top basketball prospects in the state. The 6-foot-5 junior-to-be, plans on spending the summer working on his game, especially his ball handling. I caught up with Stroud at the Eddie Ford Stimulus Tournament over the weekend.
Stroud averaged just under 10 points per game this past season.
"I'm really working on my jump shot and my ball handling," Stroud said. "Next season, I'm going to play point guard or shooting guard. I've been lifting weights and trying to get stronger and I just have to keep working on my game."
Stroud holds scholarship offers from Oregon State and Oklahoma State.
"Oklahoma State and Oregon State have both offered," Stroud said. "I'm going to Oklahoma State's camp this summer. I'm also going to a camp at Oregon State."
Stroud is also receiving letters from Iowa, Marshall, Colorado, Morehead State, Wright State and Georgetown College.
