Not to be outdone by Fox, who just announced to holiday favorites of their own coming to Blu-ray, Warner Home Video has announced the National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition. The box set will be released on both, DVD and Blu-ray, on October 27. Extras will include commentary with Randy Quaid, Beverly D’Angelo, Johnny Galecki, Miriam Flynn, director Jerimiah Chechnik, and producer Matty Simmons. Each collector's set also comes with a bunch of collectables, including a Griswold Santa Hat, a box of fake snow, a set of coasters with images and famous lines from the movie and a button which says, "I survived a Griswold Family Christmas; as a bonus gift for those who purchase the Blu-ray version, included is a replica moose drinking glass from the movie.
Christmas Vacation has been released on DVD and Blu-ray (and even on the now-defunct HD DVD) format a few times now, but they are really ramping up the swag for this 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition of the film. So if you are a huge fan of this holiday favorite and feel like you need a moose punch glass from the movie, be sure to pick up this gift set in October!
