Summer is here and for some the living is not so easy. Unemployment has hit an all time high and among those greatly affected are teens. Many teens who used to hold part-time jobs are now faced with competition from adults seeking full time positions. And, as more jobs grow scarce, and pre-professional internships dwindle, parents are now burdened with footing the bill for their kids' education, social activities, and possibly their future. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, the unemployment figure for 16 – 19-year olds is 24 percent. Internships available to college students have dropped to 21 percent.
