She’s made men fight over her, women hate her, and an entire state her stage name; but for vh1 reality TV icon, Tiffany Pollard, aka New York, her career is just getting started.
You may have wondered why Tiffany hasn’t been seen chain smoking, per usual, on her new series “New York Goes to Hollywood.” She has ditched the butts as a means to improve her life, lungs and salvage her skin.
Much to the shock of one who has watched her tantrums and rants, the infamous diva on camera really isn’t a diva at all. Gasp! Like her on-screen persona, Tiffany remains hilarious in person, but with less attitude than New York. Think Sarah Silverman with manners. In reality, one of reality TV's biggest stars is actually a very sweet, friendly, down to earth woman.
The aspiring actress gives the inside scoop on gaining 40 pounds, filming her latest reality show, how L.A. has been treating her and, most important, her love life.
On the extra weight she’s carrying on New York Goes to Hollywood:
"I just want to clear up the rumors! The reason why I look so big on New York Goes to Hollywood... I had my celebrity friends, they were just texting me, 'are you okay, girl?' and the reason why I look so big is because I quit smoking and I gained 40 pounds!"
On when she quit smoking:
"November 11th, it's almost a year now! I’m able to workout and I don’t run outta breath. My skin’s better, everything is just better!”
On filming her current vh1 show:
New York Goes to Hollywood just wrapped last week. It was a great show about me moving out here and just checking out L.A. L.A.’s been treating me really good. I love California. Anyway, being out here is just a beautiful thing. God is really just blessing me right now and the sky’s the limit, so I’m pursuing my acting career.
On her love life:
You know what, (expletive) love! I don’t need a man right now. Right now it’s all about me getting out here. On a serious note you guys, it’s not really about me finding a love mate right now, it’s about me focusing on what I want. This is what Tiffany wants. Right now I just wanna pursue acting.
