December 13, 2009 will be the 13th annual Worldwide Candle Lighting sponsored by The Compassionate Friends.  Held every year on the second Sunday in December, thousands of people in both formal and informal settings light candles at 7 PM, remembering beloved children gone too soon.  As it turns 7:00 PM in each time zone, a virtual wave of light goes around the globe in a ritual that connects families from every continent and culture.
If you are interested in finding an event neat you to join with other parents, The Compassionate Friends website has a listing of reported events.  If you know of an event that has not been reported, submit it to TCF for addition to their listing.  If you would like to plan an event in your area, anywhere worldwide, suggestions are available to help you get started.
Whether you gather with a few friends at home, at a formal gathering in a church or children’s memorial park, or even by yourself, anywhere you are, remember to light a candle at 7 PM December 13, 2009, and remember the precious little ones whom we have loved and lost.
