I'll be getting my uke on tonight, but folks with more traditional tastes may want to gravitate to the Herbst Theater, where the San Francisco Jazz Festival will pay tribute to swing genius Benny Goodman.

Clarinetists Eddie Daniels and Jim Rothermel will play with their respective groups (Rothermel's includes local keyboard treasure Larry Vukovich).

Expect a fine repertoire of swing tunes, infectious rhythms and a potent reminder of what a sweet and powerful instrument the long-neglected clarinet can be.

The show starts at 7:30, and tickets are $25 to $65.
