This weekend, join Compassion Over Killing and Vegetarian Society of DC at George Washington University for DC VegFest, an free afternoon of fun and tons of tasty vegetarian food and the first large-scale event of its kind in DC. In addition to a goodie bag full of veg friendly treats and cooking demonstrations, some of the area's best vegetarian restaurants (as few of them as there are) will be selling their wares, including examiner-reviewed Amsterdam Falafelshop, Java Green, Nirvana, and Sticky Fingers Bakery.

Where: George Washington University, University Yard
When: Saturday, September 12, from 12:00 - 9:00pm
Address: 2000 blk H St., N.W. (Foggy Bottom-GWU stop on the Blue/Orange lines)
