When you are trying to diet, the hardest part is staying motivated. Everybody responds better to different approaches: Pictures of models, pictures of how you DON'T want to look, motivating music, upcoming events, etc. What if I told you the biggest motivator you need is money? I'm sure that you wouldn't be cheating one bite on your diet or exercise program. The truth is, people do need a goal to work towards. There is no better way to stay motivated than to enter yourself in a contest or challenge. Whether you are getting up on stage for a competition or you are involved in a challenge for cash, this is your ticket to reach your goal. This will force you to stick to your diet for longer than usual.

Start with your before picture (gasp!) Yes, you have to take one. By taking a picture of yourself at your worst, it will only keep you motivated and realistic. Hang the picture up on your refrigerator or wherever you tend to cheat. Take your measurements: Chest, arms, waist, hips, thighs and weight. Weigh and measure yourself once a week to see if you've made progress. It's always better to wait about a week or so to weigh yourself because you can hold or lose water if you weigh yourself daily. It's not an accurate gauge of weight loss.

While dieting, be sure to eat clean, exercise daily and drink a lot of water. Supplements will also help speed up your metabolism and keep you satiated.  I prefer natual foods and supplements which is why I choose Shaklee products. They are 100% natural, safe and potent. Surprisingly, if you can stick to the meal shakes or bars while on the run, you will be satisfied. So find a contest or start a challenge today...it's a great way to FINALLY reach your goal. People tend to be more strict with their diet when there are consequences. What do you have to lose...except weight?
