Are you having trouble losing the last ten pounds? Ten pounds is a difference between a dress size, a muffin top and confidence level. For some of us, the last ten pounds seems dreadfully difficult to achieve. Even if you go to the gym five days a week, do your cardio faithfully and eat a clean diet, you still may have trouble with the last stubborn ten. The problem is that your body has developed a tolerance for your workouts. Just like anything else you may do on a regular basis, your body and muscles get used to what you have been doing, therefore it takes more to achieve the same results. But not to worry, there are a few things you can do to trick your body into thinking it’s beginning the workout regimen all over again.

There are three things that will make a difference in the last ten pounds: Diet, Training and Supplements.

Let's start by addressing how to tweak your diet. If you are already on a clean-eating diet, great! If not, then eating clean will absolutely make the pounds melt off of you. What is clean eating? Fresh, healthy food that is low in sugar and fat. Read the labels on everything you put into your body. There are many foods that sneak sugar in the ingredients list. Tweak your clean-eating diet by only having complex carbs in the morning and nothing but protein and veggies after noon. Great complex carbs are oatmeal and sweet potatoes. Alternate these “low carb days” with “no carb days” only having protein and green veggies throughout the day. This is a key secret to the fitness models getting ready for a photoshoot. Go to the gym when you wake up, before there is any food in your system, to do an hour of cardio. Doing cardio before you eat allows your body to break down the fat stores, versus breaking down the food in your system. Have a protein shake immediately after your cardio workout. Cut out the salt and sugar from your diet and watch your stomach shrink! Also make sure you are eating 5-6 small meals a day, to keep your metabolism racing. If you keep your diet clean and frequent, you will achieve your goal. Also, don't forget to drink at least eight glasses of water throughout the day. Be sure to check back to read about the training and supplements you need to lose the last ten pounds.
