So I've decided I no longer like my doggie daycare, now that Angel has gotten sick not once but twice with mystery ailments upon return from Cagefree K9 Camp. What's the point of taking your dog for a fun day of puppy playtime if she comes back sick and in need of hundreds of dollars of vet care?
Nonetheless, I still need a place to take her for those days I can't take her to work with me, or for those times she needs a little extra exercise. I've been doing some research and I'd like to hear your input, if you have any thoughts about these locations:
1) Urban Dog - located at 1909 Pontius Avenue, they are cagefree for daycare but crated at night for boarding. They're open daily, which is a big plus for me because weekends are my prime time for day care needs. http://www.urbandog.com/
2) The Loved Dog - located at 2100 Pontius Avenue (the barking on Pontius Avenue must be audible for miles around), they are entirely cagefree both for daycare and for boarding. They're open Monday through Friday from 7am-7:30pm, then from 9am-5pm on Saturday, closed on Sunday. They charge a screening fee which also allows for a couple of hours of playtime once your dog is deemed socially acceptable. http://www.tamargeller.com/facility-services.php
3) You Lucky Dog - located at 2326 Cotner, they are closed on weekends which is not so terrific for those of us who need weekend daycare but on the other hand, they specialize in small dogs. http://www.youluckydogdaycare.com/index.htm
If you have tried any of these locations, let me know! Also, if you have other suggestions, please share.
