Good morning, everyone! Angel and I are all packed up and ready to head to Sin City, but my question to you is this - why does it seem like the dog has more equipment and baggage than I do? I have one small suitcase packed for me with all my so-called essentials (not that leave in conditioner is really an essential product... well, maybe it is) but my dog has:

1) her regular collar

2) all her paperwork showing shots, etc

3) her halter collar, in case we go jogging on the Strip (riiiiiight!)

4) her retractable leash for the same reason

5) two travel dog bowls

6) dog food

7) a travel water dispenser

8) doggie anti-nausea medication, in case my driving makes her as sick as it makes me

9) a sweater - it could get cold

10) a raincoat - it could rain

11) another sweater - if it's cold, and it rains, the first sweater and coat could get wet

12) dog booties for the aforementioned cold and rain

13) her favorite blanket

14) various squeaky toys

15) a ball, because Vegas is so well known for being a dog run haven for fetch (if they can host World Series of Poker, they could host a dog fetch contest. believe me, Angel would win.)

16) Rescue Remedy, which supposedly calms dogs down on long car rides

17) a pillow (for me)

18) a dog bed (for her)

19) a second dog bed (in case she's bored with the first one)

Why why WHY did I think travel would be easy breezy with a dog? Or am I doing this wrong? Anyway... wish us good luck and good tidings, because we're off to explore the unknown dog paths of Las Vegas.
