Located in Burbank, the Office Bar in Grill is an unassuming spot on Victory Blvd.  There is parking in the back of the building or you can street park depending on what time of day that it is.  The spot is relatively new. Its name derives from the popular show which to a generation may become their Cheers, "Where everybody knows" the name of the stars of the show.  LA is a virtual stew, brimming with various cultures so for appetizers you can order fresh pita chips and humus deriving from the Mediterranean.  Humus has made its mark on American culture.  We enjoyed the humus and pita chips but I did find the pita chips too oily.  You can also get favorite Mexican appetizers too while watching the game on one of the eleven plasma screens. Let us not forget, a classic comfort bar food  favorite from New York is the Buffalo wing.  The wings at the Office Bar and Grille are spicy, tender and brimming with sauce.

Beyond the appetizer menu, folks can look forward to happy hour from
4 PM to 7 PM Monday through Friday.  The bar also has comedy night on the first Wednesday of the month.  One can tell that the crowd is comprised of regulars and the staff seems to know virtually everyone.

Owner, John Brennan shares with my guest and I that the pastas are popular but we opt for sandwiches and fries.  After all, this is a bar so we go for standard bar comfort food.  I ordered the Office burger which is a meaty all beef burger topped with an aioli sauce.  My dining partner orders a chicken sandwich.  It is marinated well.  She did comment that it was a bit salty.  The aioli burger is good.  The owner also shares that his executive chef, Robert Zaldana spent some time studying with the late great Julia Childs.  Zaldana also worked as a chef at the GettyCenter.  Despite his distinguished background, do not look for out the box cuisine.  The menu is simple not crowded.  As for beverages, there are not a lot of mixed drink options.   They do have a good cranberry cape cod.  If beer is the beverage of choice then there are 11 craft beers choices.

The Office Bar and Grille is a cozy spot.    There is nothing  pretentious about the place.  Although, there is a great spot in the back with brown contemporary sofas.   It is your good time after work spot to sit back while enjoying the game and the food.
