La Maison Française has announced its very first "Brunch Garden Party", an event which will coincide with the end of the Washington DC Street Performance Festival. Performace troupes from the U.S. Canada and France will be on hand to delight and amaze you with juggling, acrobatics, comedy, unicycling, playing steelpan drums and there will even be a flea circus.

There is a debate about whether foreign embassies are considered foreign soil or whether they belong to the host country. If you have never had the opportunity to go to France, a trip to the French embassy may or may not technically be a trip to France, but either way it will be a lot of fun.

The $5 admission gets adults into the party (children 10 and under are admitted at no cost). Food and drinks (pastries, crêpes, quiches, croissants, candied apples, coffee, bloody marys, beer, wine and mimosas) are sold separately.
