Were you tapping your toe non-stop during High School Musical 3? Did you wish you could just break out into song as you listened to each and every song in the film? Maybe, like our New Films Examiner, you found the film to be as entertaining and catchy as Grease. If this is you than you're in luck because Disney still wants your money.
Starting today they will be screening singalong versions of HSM3 across the country, including local theaters in the DC area. The three theater in the area will be the AMC Hoffman (Alexandria, VA), Regal Countryside (Sterling, VA) and the AMC Potomac Mills (Woodbridge, VA). The song's words will be displayed on the bottom of the screen using digital captioning technology, which is something impressive evidently.
My guess is the theater will be crammed with the kids who made HSM3 the most successful musical ever last weekend, but that doesn't mean adults can't sneak in and belt some out along with them. Who knows, maybe it will become the next Rocky Horror Picture Show. Except with, you know, guys with boyish good looks instead of Transylvanian transvestites and basketball games instead of Meatloaf on a motorcycle.
