I have often wondered why the mainstream media would even consider the White House stance against Fox "News", with regard to its propensity for the theatrical and misleading, "Nixonian". What exactly is Nixonian about calling a spade a spade? Fox "News", as the video below will show, has been nothing more than the media outlet and veritable mouthpiece of the extreme faction of the GOP.
When you have a supposed news organization with close to 90 percent of its programming geared toward either insulting or egregiously maligning the sitting President of the United States, while having one of their foremost presenters calling the president a racist and not getting as much as even the slightest rebuke from those at the top, then you do have to ask questions of the propaganda outlet.
In this episode (below) of the Ed Show, Film maker, Robert Greenwald discusses Fox "News" and its descent into the abyss of gutter journalism, at its very worst. And if you had any delusions as to Fox's political agenda, the recent clamour for its founder and president, Roger "where is my meal" Ailes to run for the office of the POTUS in 2012 (now I'd pay to see him debate Obama) should put that in perspective. The truth is Roger Ailes' long history of race-baiting and penchant for injecting race and other divisive rhetoric into the national discourse is why his brainchild (Fox "News") has essentially followed his inclination.
The truth is Fox "News" is doing exactly what it was established to do - and that is to promote the conservative agenda in the most extreme and outlandished of ways. It seems to be "working", except we can all see through the thinly veiled hubris of its purported disposition to being "fair and balanced".
It's more like "we decide what to report and you accept without inhibition", since after all, it requires very little effort to inculcate the easily brainwashed and uninformed with incendiary propaganda.
