SPECIAL Families of Pierce County is pleased to welcome Sonia Story from "Move, Play, Thrive!" as our expert speaker for June's meeting on Monday the 1st at 6:30pm. Ms. Story is a neurodevelopmental movement therapist and will discuss how integrative movement with a neurodevelopmental approach can help our special needs children. Please bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing!
Ms. Story has offered to have a follow-up full weekend parent workshop for those who are interested in learning the full approach. Details about this will be given at the meeting.
SPECIAL Families of Pierce County is a support group for families with special needs children in the south Sound region. Professionals and other interested parties are also encouraged to attend. Meetings are held the first Monday of each month. Selected lending library resources are available at each meeting.
Childcare will not be provided.
