This is not a traditional post for my blog as it does not profile a networking opportunity, and it also focuses on an opportunity which is in the suburbs and not the city. Nevertheless, I do want to inform the community that there is place you can go this Thanksgiving to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal in an informal and fun setting. Parkview Community Christian Church in Glen Ellyn is hosting the 23rd Annual community Thanksgiving Lunch from 12:00PM until 2:00PM.

Attendance always exceeds 200 people, and over 49 turkeys are being cooked for the event. It is entirely FREE to attend and is provided as a place to go during the holidays if you have no family around or are not able to enjoy a traditional thanksgiving meal. This is an opportunity for the church to give back to the community and serve in a simple, yet meaningful way.  See the information below if you plan to attend and know that the doors are wide open at Parkview!
