Stanford and its fans will have to wait another day to see if the Cardinal landed the nation's No. 1 female basketball recruit.
The Cypress Sun orginally reported that Chiney Ogwumike, who lives in Cypress, Texas, would make her announcement Wednesday, but the newspaper reported later that Ogwumike will now sign her letter of intent on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. (9:30 a.m. West Coast time).
Stanford, Notre Dame and Connecticut have been listed as the three favorites for Ogwumike, a 6-2 forward ranked as the nation's top recruit for 2010 by ESPN HoopGurlz. There is no word on which she has chosen.
