Gardendale makes a splash with its new splash pad
We have made a new discovery about 30 miles north of Birmingham in Gardendale, Alabama. It is a wonderful Children's Splash Pad that is a perfectly refreshing way to beat the summer heat for FREE!
This new facility is located just off Fieldstown Road in Gardendale. Parents can bring their bathing suits and join the fun or sit in the shade and watch. There are covered pavilions with picnic tables and large bench swings.
Some of my children's favorites: my 6-year old loved spraying the huge water guns and also liked to run under the large yellow buckets that periodically dumped water on top of his head. My 4-year old loved running through the huge circular sprayers. And my 2-year old preferred to stay dry and play on the adjacent playground that includes swings, slides, and a lot of climbing play structures.
Be sure you check the hours before heading to the park and bring lots of sunscreen and snacks.
Open Tuesday thru Sunday from 10:00 A.M. until dusk
May 1 through October 15
Closed Mondays for Maintenance
