Michael Jackson's public memorial at the Staples Center will be free to the public. Despite previous reports, 10,000 tickets to the memorial will be given away free of charge. The Jackson family and AEG officials are unsure how they will distribute the free tickets. A press conference will be held this morning to further discuss the memorial plans, the AP reported.
Larry King broadcast live from Neverland yesterday. During the interview Jermaine expressed the difficulty in planning the Michael Jackson memorial at the Staples Center. He said "If you can imagine 100,000 people show up and you have 20,000 capacity (at the Staples Center), there is not sufficient room. Now you have a crowd-control problem." He added with the holiday weekend "it's the worst time ... to work something out."
Jermaine told Larry King that there will be a private memorial service for his brother before the public service begins.
When Larry played Michael Jackson last rehearsal video "They don't really care about us" for Jermaine, his eyes lit up with joy. Jermaine talked about feeling Michael everywhere at Neverland. The Jackson family seems to find peace at Neverland, a place that Michael loved so much.
Jermain Jackson said he still feel that Michael Jackson should be buried at Neverland. Larry King said "but the law requires people be buried in a cemetery". Jermaine replied "Yeah, but people who make the laws can change that"
