Ashlee Simpson was dropped from 'Melrose Place' for being disliked by castmates?

Say it isn't so, Ashlee Simpson was dropped from "Melrose Place" because her co-stars "deeply disliked" her, Fox 411 has reported. An unnamed Melrose Place source told Fox "Ashlee was kicked off 'Melrose Place' because she was a total diva on set, late all the time, and deeply disliked by fellow cast members,". The inside source also said "It created a lot of discord among the cast.".

The back stabbing continued. The Melrose source says "She could barely act". 

The fact that Simpson was cut leaves plenty of money in the budget to bring back Heather Locklear on a reoccurring basis.
