Florida State’s baseball team has spread abroad this summer to undertake new challenges in summer ball. In all, ten players from this year’s Seminoles baseball squad are in action from New England to Alaska.
Earlier today, the big news was Sherman Johnson’s appointment two different All-Star Game rosters.
But what about the other guys?
As written earlier, Tyler Holt is currently playing ball with Team USA. The Americans went a perfect 11-0 in their games they have played up until this point with Holt starting 10 of them. Holt, who is hitting out of the leadoff spot just as he did in Tallahassee, has accumulated a .432 batting average, scored 17 times, drawn 16 walks, and swiped 13 bases. Holt and Team USA will return to action in Japan Friday of this week.
James Ramsey has taken the farthest route to summer ball with Mat-Su Miners in the Alaskan Baseball League. Ramsey has played 16 games and is hitting .373 with one home run, 12 RBI, and 18 walks.
Elsewhere, Stephen Cardullo, Sean Gilmartin, Jack Posey, Parker Brunelle, John Gast, Geoff Parker, and Stuart Tapley are all participating in summer ball.
