Ashley McDaniel is an animal activist who grew up on a farm in North Carolina, rescuing and rehabilitating both local and exotic animals. A graduate of Appalachian State, she works for CNN by day and volunteers with animals by night. She currently lives with her ferret, Nico, and hedgehog, Wall-E.
