Maclaren strollers recalled

Maclaren, manufacturer of a stroller popular with New York moms due to its lightweight structure, voluntarily recalled today over a million of its single and double strollers after reports of 12 childrens' finger amputations in the hinge mechanisms of the strollers.
The popular Maclaren has also been a favorite among celebrity moms, including Angelina Jolie, Minnie Driver, Helen Bonham Carter, and Salma Hayek, to name a few.
The recall applies to all Maclaren strollers sold in the U.S. since 1999.
