Disneyland Birthday Celebration Series!

Part 1: Celebrate on July 17!

There are thousands of folks who have fond memories of the Disneyland Resort. Those who spent their vacations, went to the park as a child and even those who must go today. This month, Disneyland turns 54. Now, if you ask any guest they will tell you the park doesn't look a day over 29! Just joking! What the park does have is a familiarity of characters who have been in our lives even though we don't always make it to the theme park. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and even Goofy have always lived in our hearts and having the chance to play at the park isn't something we take for granted.

Ever wondered what happens when you go too often to Disneyland (or Disney World for that matter?) Well, you start collecting things. It could be pins, it could be books, maybe pens or like me Mickey Mouse dolls. It gives you an elated feeling to be part of this Magical place where Walt once stood. And it gives a chance to truly have a little fun. If you're an adult, you know that doesn't happen all too often as responsibility is always knocking.

What else happens when you visit the Disney parks? It appears you smile. While, this is unconfirmed for every guest, those that really enjoy the park smile often!

As Disneyland partied over a year for  their 50th birthday, you might not see much going on at the Resort this year. Yet as a kid I was told every birthday is important, so don't expect the Disneyland Guests not to throw a party or bring a gift, as we too like celebrating every year!

In celebration of Disneyland's Birthday, the LA Disneyland Examiner will be sharing a special series of articles on the best of Disneyland and what makes this theme park so special! Then on July 17th, head down to Disneyland and take a ride just to be part of this birthday moment. I'll be there too!
