Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan in A Couple of Dicks
Set for release on February 26, 2010 is A Couple of Dicks, a Kevin Smith directed film starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan.
This will be another "buddy cop" comedy, as two detectives must track down a very valuable baseball card and rescue a beautiful Mexican woman. Along the way they have to deal with gangsters and drug money.
Many people believe this film to be the project that Smith spoke about in A Threevning with Kevin Smith, in which he described a phone conversation he had with Bruce Willis after shooting Live Free or Die Hard. If you haven't seen Threevning, Smith told a story about how Bruce Willis called him up after they had worked together and said that he admired his work and enjoyed working with him and hoped that Kevin could write something for him to star in. Smith was understandably flabbergasted and realized that he had no current projects at that time that would work for Bruce Willis.
Maybe this project is what transpired.
This seems to be a very unique group for this type of film, and with Smith at the helm, one thing is for certain: there will be plenty of laughs. Morgan is a tried and true comedic presence on screen, and when looking at his older works, Willis too knows how to handle comedy. It's hard to see how this trio could work together and not put together a great film.
