Bruce Willis in Live Free or Die Hard

At the number 7 spot on the “total box office revenue” list is Bruce Willis. Walter Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany. He moved to the U.S. at the age of 2. Bruce has two brothers and a sister. His brother Robert Willis died in 2001 at the age of 42 from pancreatic cancer. Bruce has three daughters with actress Demi Moore. The Hollywood buzz is that the pair remains amiable toward each other and have a terrific relationship despite no longer being a couple.

Willis spent several years performing on stage in various Off-Broadway shows. He auditioned several times for various movie and television roles. In 1985 he got his shot, landing the role of David Addison on the hit television show “Moonlighting.” He would later win an Emmy while on the show. His first feature film part was in the 1987 comedy Blind Date. However, Bruce’s true “break” in Hollywood was when “Moonlighting” went on hiatus while Cybill Shepherd was pregnant. During this time, he auditioned for, and landed, the role of John McClane in Die Hard in 1988.
