Is Nicholas Cage broke? Well, according to People.com, his finances are certainly hurting.
Cage chalks his money woes up to relying completely on his financial manager Samuel J. Levin. Hired in 2001, Levin has allegedly "lined his [own] pockets with several million dollars in business management fees while sending Cage down a path toward financial ruin."
The bulk of Cage's problems boil down to over $6 million in back taxes. As a result he has had to sell several of his homes in California, Las Vegas and New Orleans, and even his Bavarian castle.
Cage says he "relied on Levin to handle his financial affairs to ensure that he and his family would have a financially secure future built on the foundation of the substantial monies Cage earned through years of hard work."
