Bees, wasps, and other flying stinging monsters are out in huge numbers this year, and that increases the likelihood of getting stung.  We all know how painful it can be when one decides to dive-bomb after you, but once again your household items can provide some relief.

Baking soda: Many people are aware of the benefits of this item because it works so well.  Add enough water to the baking soda to make a paste. Place on the area for five minutes or until the pain and swelling has resolved.

Clean copper pennies: Clean pennies can quickly resolve the pain if placed on the area immediately after being stung. This is due a reaction it has with our cellular components.

Toothpaste: The alkalinity of the paste neutralizes the acid in the venom from a sting.

Flour: Elderly family members say that flour absorbs the poison (and pain) out of the sting.

Ice: When applied for 20 minutes, pain and swelling subsides.
