       Where is God Leading you?I

Psalm 37:23 states: The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. There are many paths that we will make in life’s journey; and we alone must decide whether to walk in obedience to God's leading, or to do our own thing. Our steps are "ordered"; that word ordered means, "having all elements in a neat, well-organized, or regular arrangement."

The Father has carefully planned out our lives and as we allow Him to direct us, we will gain His favor, and the blessing that comes with obedience. He knows us better than we know ourselves and he will use us in ways we could never imagine.

God's plan is, to get the best out of us, that his name will be glorified. He could send you to a far off land and to a strange people; or he could send you in the path of someone right in your community, who needs to know the love of God. No path is too small or insignificant.

There are times we abandon the plan of God for our own plan; perhaps because of our lack of patience or lack of faith; that God is in control and knows what’s ‘best’ for us. "Jeremiah. 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." This is where the enemy can come in and begin to tell us that God has forgotten us, does not love us or that our lives will never be blessed.

Jesus the Son of God...God manifested in the, experienced something similar as he hung in excruciating agony on the cross. He was mocked and scourged, despised and reject by those he came to die for. Isaiah 52:14b states: his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men. He was so cruelly beaten that he was hardly recognizable as human.
Jesus had done nothing wrong; but had offended many by his righteous life.

The hearts of the religious leaders of that day were pricked by the Holy word they taught, but did not live. Jesus bore the weight of the sin of the whole world on his frail human form.

Finally in the night hour when the skies became blacker than black as the Father had to turn his face from Jesus, because he could not look on sin; it was then when our Savior cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” He had never been away from the presence of his Father and in physical, emotional and spiritual grief he felt forsaken.

This was God’s plan, this was God’s will, and this was the purpose for which He came forth. Nowhere else was anyone’s step so deliberately and perfectly ordered for such a great mission. Yet Jesus felt forsaken for that brief moment in time.

Our walk is a walk by faith and not by sight, or our feelings. He knows the way that we take and when He is done we shall be as gold. So, do not be discouraged when your vision is seemingly put on a hold, know that even waiting can be in His plan. Know he is moving after the counsel of His own will and when you reach your destination, as you look back you will see that He has been ordering your steps the entire time.
