Los Angeles Art Weekend, by FYAWorld

Hello Los Angeles art afficionados! Tomorrow your thrist will be satiated as a group of art lovers, galleries, companies, groupies, et al kick off a jam-packed weekend event guaranteed to leave you saturated with new and beautiful artyness.

Personally, I am a big fan of ForYourArt because they give you the dish in a simple and stylish format, and their "consulting" arm, FYAWorld, together with neato Black Frame Arts, are putting on this weekend shindig.

Festivities include a Postopolis! LA 5-day live blogging event at the Standard Downtown, a book-signing with Valentino at Taschen in Beverly Hills, Elliott Hundley giving his own exhibition tour, and a kickoff launch party at the Standard Downtown. And that's only Thursday!

Other planned highlights include events at Royal/T, Blum & Poe, a movie screening of Late Night Art of Berlin, 1945–2009 at LACMA, and Hammer Museum's Nine Lives: Visionary Artists in Los Angeles. Please check out laartweekend.com for the full schedule and hope to see you out and about!
