“Growing up on England, my best friend was our English Cocker Spaniel. She was so beautiful, and having been an artist practically my entire life, it was logical to focus on painting dogs in her honor,” says Gordon.

Gordon holds a BFA and MFA in fine arts and has exhibited work throughout the United States and Canada. His paintings are in several collections including the Mobile Museum of Modern Art, the University of Toronto, Chase Bank, and many private collections.

When painting pets, Gordon works from a photograph to capture your animal's unique personality using an expressive, painterly style. Sometimes he does get to meet the dog in person, but he has become so adept at isolating the dog’s spirit in his paintings, it is not a necessity.

Now allergic to dogs himself, Gordon derives a great deal of pleasure from creating these memorable portraits to celebrate his clients’ dogs.
