Joy, Dance, and Giving Animals a Chance is a fundraiser at Joy Yoga Center, which is joining forces with Dominic Walsh Dance Theater and Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP) to benefit the arts and animals.
The event marks the first time the three organizations have partnered to bring awareness and funds for both performance art and Houston’s needy animals.
The event will feature exclusive performances from Dominic Walsh dancers as well as one-of-a-kind yoga demonstrations from Joy Yoga Center.
For a $15 suggested donation, guests will enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit SNAP and Dominic Walsh Dance Theater.
Millions of animals are put down each year but we can get those numbers down by spaying and neutering. Houston's BARC is overwhelmed with unwanted animals, including many mom and baby kitties. Just one unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce an estimated 420,000 cats in only seven years.
This fundraising event will help SNAP educate and get the number of unwanted animals lowered. It will also help benefit the Houston area arts. Come help out and have fun at the same time!
When: Saturday, May 30, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Joy Yoga Center, 4500 Washington Ave., Houston
Contact: 713-862-3863 or email phidalgo@snapus.org
Cost: free, but there is a suggested $15 donation
