With temperatures in the 100’s it is hard to keep your makeup from melting to the floor. Here are a few sure fire ways to keep your makeup in place under steamy conditions.

 Be a lightweight

Opt for a tinted moisturizer instead of your foundation. It may have slightly less coverage but the lightweight formula will even out your skin tone without clogging your pores allowing the skin to breathe so you won’t have to worry about sweating off your makeup.

 Proof it

Be sure to use waterproof mascara. The humidity can wreck havoc on your lashes if you are not wearing a waterproof mascara. The moisture will cling to lash hairs causing your mascara to melt and smudge all over leaving you with really bad raccoon eyes.

 Stain your lips

Instead of a gloss which will melt quickly in high temperatures try wearing a lip stain. Apply the sheer formula with you finger for a natural application that will stay put in the heat.

 Watch your mouth

Alcohol and spicy foods increase sweat production. So remember to scale back on your spice and have one less cocktail during happy hour.
