Well, I was out of beer.

One of the coolest features of the Xbox 360 is the ability to track your progress against you friends and the online community with the achievement system.  For me, that is where most of the replay value of these games comes in.  Generally a game has 1,000 points of unlockable goodness inside and arcade games have 200.  There a few games that have expanded the possible achievements with DLC like Oblivion, Halo 3, and Crackdown.

I personally am on the cusp of a golden accomplishment in my life.  My gamerscore currently stands at 19,043.  I can taste 20,000 I'm so close.  I thought it would be a lot of fun if I brought you guys along on my journey to 20,000.  My plan?  I have borrowed some games from a friend that I either skipped playing or played through too quickly and left some juicy achievements hanging.  My arsenal is Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Bioshock, and The Orange Box.  If I can't squeeze out the remaining achievements in these 3, I have Marvel: Ultimate Alliance in the wings.

I'll be keeping you posted as I unlock more and more achievements until I reach that beautiful 20,000 number.  Until then, keep the champagne on ice and I'll be planning the celebration party.
